Aventurine Stone is a form of quartz, characterised by its translucency and the presence of platy mineral inclusions that give a shimmering or glistening effect termed aventurescence. The most commonly used aventurine for jewellery is the one with a deep, dark green color. This shade is created by the inclusions of chrome mica (fuchsite). However, you may also come across red-brown aventurine (hematite inclusions), brown (pyrite), and greenish brown (goethite).
Our Semi Precious Stones are genuine and natural unless they are stated to be synthetic in the description. However, you will find the vast majority of Semi Precious Stones are treated in some way, as they would not be stable enough for use in jewellery in their original state.
