Make a pretty Macramé bracelet to show off your favourite Carrier Duo bead!

You can add all the items you need to your basket by clicking the box in the 'Products used' section above, or you can let your imagination run wild and choose your own materials from the links below. Please note that the colours for the products illustrated in the image above do not match the 'Products Used List'.

We believe that jewellery should be as individual as you are and so our tutorials are for inspiration and learning purposes. They include links to the relevant categories for you to choose your own colour combinations and we positively encourage you to experiment with different shapes, sizes, finishes, composition and texture. Why not choose your own beads and colours to achieve something in your own style? Let your creative imagination run wild and make your dream piece of jewellery?

Step 1

Download your project sheet to make your Carrier Duo bead, following pattern number 5.

Step 2

Cut two lengths of cord approx. 16 inches long. Trim the end to a point so that it will easily slide through the hole. Thread it through one of the holes to the halfway point. Insert a pin through the second hole and secure it to your Macramé board. Take your second length of cord, find the middle and knot it around the other cords.

Step 3

Start your macrame knotting by following these images.

- Take your right hand cord and pass it over the middle two cords.
- Next, take your left hand cord and place it over the right cord. Move the left cord under the centre cord and up through the middle of the loop on the right side.
- Pull the threads to finish one half of your knot.
- Repeat this process on the opposite side by starting by crossing the left hand cord over the middle cords.

This completes 1 square knot. Repeat until you have made approx 1.75 inches (4.5cm) of knotted braid.

Step 4

It should look like this!

Step 1

Step 5

Carefully apply a small drop of glue to the last knot. Apply it where the two horizontal cords come out. Repeat these steps to make the opposite side of the bracelet

Step 6

Take the 4 ends of the centre cords, lay them side by side and then do a macramé braid (approx. 3 square knots) for your sliding knot. Secure the ends with a drop of glue, being careful not to glue the sliding knot to the centre cords running through it (otherwise it will not be able to slide and adjust). Try gently pulling the centre cords through the sliding knot while the glue dries.

Trim the ends so the sliding knot is neat.

Step 7

Work out the size of your bracelet to your wrist and tie a knot onto each cord. Trim away the tail ends.
