Even if you're new to wire jewellery, you'll find making this cute little ring comes easy after a little practice!
Choose your favourite 8mm semi-precious bead from our huge range!
Cut a 1m length of wire and thread on your favourite bead to the halfway point.
For the next steps, you must press firmly and keep the wire are close to the mandrel as you can to create a tight ring that will form the base of the ring. (If you don't have a ring mandrel, you can also use a thick pen or something similar.)
With the bead halfway along the wire, press it onto the ring mandrel and wrap each wire twice around the mandrel, one above and one below the bead. Continue to hold the wires in place with your finger behind the mandrel.
Bring the ends of each wire upwards and wrap around the bead in opposite directions, pulling the wires gently to circle close to the bead.
Continue to wrap the wires around the bead, alternating between the two wires.
When you are happy with the wire coverage, remove the ring from the mandrel. Take an end of wire and loop it around and through the base of the ring.
Make 4 or 5 wraps that sit neatly next to each other before trimming away the end. You may wish to sand the tips if they are sharp. The tuck it in with your pliers. Repeat for the other side.
