Make a cute pair of Springtime Key Rings using the Beadalon Baby Jewel Loom! These lovely little accessories would also be perfect to sell at craft fairs, for children's school bags or anything with zip pull! Download your FREE project loom patterns.
Download your FREE project loom patterns. Set up your loom following the instructions included. Create 14 warp threads so that you have 13 gaps for the beads to sit in.
Tie your working thread to the outer left warp thread. Thread your needle and string on your first row of beads, working from the bottom of your pattern. Pass the needle under all of the warp threads over to the right. Now lift the beads into place so that each bead sits in its own gap. This step can be a little fiddly at first! Now pass the needle back through the beads to secure them in place. After each row, 'catch' the tail of your working thread by going around it.
Continue to thread on your beads row by row.
Once you reach the end of your pattern, tie off your thread to the outer warp thread.trim away the tail end. It will be hidden later on.
Leaving a 5cm (2 inch) gap, cut the warp threads on either side of your piece to free it from the loom. Take the left two warp threads and tie them in a double knot. Continue down the ends, tieing all the threads in pairs. Then use your Thread Zapper (or scissors) to remove the tails. Repeat for the other side. Then slide on the tube ends over the last row of seed beads.
Take an eyepin, thread it onto a flower bead and turn the end to make a loop. Link this to the bottom tube end.
Open a 7mm jumpring and link the top tube end to a keyring clasp.
