Step 1

In this design we start by creating the macramé spiral, cut 3 metres of cord. Thread 1.5m of cord under the bangle base, with your left hand cord place it over the bangle and with your right hand cord go under the left hand cord and bangle and up through the loop created. Pull the cord tight. Keep repeating this technique and the spiral will start to take effect.

We also have another tutorial using this spiral technique which you may find useful.

Step 2

Once you have a spiral braid measuring 3-4cm or you can braid until your desired length, you can now start adding beads. Add 3x seed beads to both strands, you may need to slightly singe the ends of the cord to enable the beads to be threaded on.

Once you have 3x seed beads on each strand you will need to create a square knot (you can find a useful square knot tutorial here). With your left cord go over the bangle and with your right cord go under the left cord and bangle and through the loop. Pull tight.  With your right cord go over the bangle, with your left cord go under the right cord and bangle and up through the loop. Pull tight.  Continue until you have created 4 flowers.
