Snow Queen Druzy Necklace

Cut two lengths of beading wire, one at 22 inches (56 cm) and the other at 20 inches (51 cm). Attach your wire to your toggle clasp using a crimp bead. Then cover the crimp bead with a crimp cover.

TIP: When closing crimp covers it’s best to go slowly and gently, ease the two sides together with little squeezes so that you can get the best closure possible.

For now ignore the longer piece of beading wire as we’ll be working with the shorter one first. Pick up 14 seed beads and let them slide down to the crimp bead.

Pick up 1 pearl, 1 seed bead, 1 pearl, 1 seed bead alternating until you have 28 of each on the wire. The last bead you pick up should be a seed bead.

Next, add 1 crystal drop, 1 seed bead, alternating until you have 9 crystal drops and 9 seed beads. The last bead you add should be a seed bead. 

Add 1, pearl, 1 seed bead alternating until you have 28 of each as in step 2. The last bead you add should be a pearl.

Finish beading strand 1 by adding 14 seed beads.At this point you can add a bead spring to strand 1 to keep the beads from sliding off, but this is optional.

Adding the beads to strand 2

Pick up 13 seed beads and let them slide down to the crimp cover.

Pick up 1 pearl, 1 seed bead, 1 pearl, 1 seed bead, 1 pearl, 1 seed bead.

Pick up 1 crystal drop, 1 seed bead, 1 pearl and 1 seed bead alternating until you have 20 crystal drops, 19 pearls and 38 seed beads.  The last bead you add in this sequence should be a crystal drop.

Add 3 seed beads and then the pendant. The pendant bail should sit on the last 3 seed beads you added.

Add 1 crystal drop, 1 seed bead, 1 pearl and 1 seed bead alternating until you have 20 crystal drops, 19 pearls and 38 seed beads. The last bead you add in this sequence should be a crystal drop.

Pick up 1 seed bead, 1 pearl, 1 seed bead, 1 pearl, 1 seed bead and 1 pearl.

Finish beading strand 2 by adding 13 seed beads.

Now finish off your necklace by attaching you wire to your toggle clasp using a crimp bead and place your crimp cover over your crimp bead.
