Simple Leather Bracelets - DIY Tutorial

Marta brings you a simple masculine  bracelet, with two variants to choose from. To make them, you only need some thong, glue, a clasp and a few metal spacers. See how easy it is?!

I must admit that so far I have not had the opportunity to create jewellery for men. However, the upcoming Father's Day obliges! I took up the challenge and as a result, two models of bracelets based on a strap were created. Their execution does not require special skills and will take no more than 10 minutes. Have fun :)

Step 1

Option 1

Option I is a bracelet with spacers based on a round leather thong.

We start work with the preparation of the appropriate length of the thong. The bracelet will not have an adjustment, so it is important to adjust it to the wrist of the future owner. The most popular size of men's bracelets in most jewellery companies is 20-21 cm.

My bracelet will fit a wrist with a circumference of about 18 cm. We prepare four sections of the thong, 20 cm long.

We put metal spacers on the straps. First, a double one - two straps will enter each of the holes, then a wavy roller with two central straps, and then a double spacer.

Place the spacers in the central part of the bracelet and align the ends of the strap.

Step 3

Add jewelery glue into one of the magnetic fastening holes. Then insert the ends of the strap into the clasp.

Step 4

Glue the straps on the other side in the same way and the bracelet is ready!

Option 2

This variant will surely appeal to the minimalist. The only decoration of the bracelet will be a stainless steel clasp

The clasp is very easy and convenient to install, as it does not require gluing. It is enough to open the flap with serrations, which is located on the inside of the clasp and insert the ends of the strap into the hole.

Step 1

Step 6

Then press the flap with your thumb until you hear a 'click'. The teeth of the flap will dig into the thong and the flap itself will lock.

Step 7

Repeat the same procedure on the other side of the clasp. Bracelet in a minimalist style ready!
