This design is from our inspirations archive. As this design was created some time ago we sadly no longer stock all the products to create our design, but can still be useful for inspiration.
Learn how to make this glamorous silver dangly spike necklace using silver plated chains and silver coloured spikes.
Step 1
Count 32 links of the large curb chain (CH1010) and cut (approx. 37cm).
Step 2
You will need to cut the smaller chains for the main part of the necklace.
Count 6 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 8 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 10 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 12 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 14 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 16 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 18 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 20 links of the small chain and cut. Do this twice.
Count 22 links of the small chain and cut. You only need to cut 1 piece as this will sit in the centre
Step 3
Get your 6 linked chain and attach to the 7th link of the larger chain (CH1010) with a jumpring. Then attach a spike.
Step 4
Get your 8 linked chain and attach to the 8th link of the larger chain with a jumpring. Then attach a spike
Continue following this pattern until you reach the centre of the chain and then work backwards.
Attach 20 links then attach 18 links and so on and so forth.
Your necklace is almost complete.
Step 5
You should have approx. 16cm of the smaller chain. Cut 1/3 of the chain and attach both pieces to either sides of the larger curb chain.
Step 6
Attach a spike to the longer end of the necklace and a lobster clasp to the other.
Your spike necklace is ready to wear.
