Learn how to make this Rose Droplet Necklace using a delicate mini toggle clasp, rose quartz beads and a stunning filigree drop charm.

Step 1

Cut your chain in half and cut the two ends with clasp components off. You may keep the original clasp on the chain if you wish.

Step 2

Cut a section of elastic measuring approx. 10".
Thread a calotte and a crimp bead onto the cord.
Thread the illusion cord through the end link of one of your halves of chain.
Thread the cord back through the calotte missing the crimp.
Pull the cord with the crimp and chain into the calotte.
Keep your long length of cord and pull the tail to about 2" long to be hidden in the necklace for security.
Squash the crimp bead and squash the calotte around the crimp bead and the end link of chain.
Hook the calotte 'hook' into the next chain link and flatten it against the chain.

Step 3

Thread on 5 rose quartz beads, 1 heart bead, 4 quartz beads, 1 heart bead, 2 quartz beads. Thread these beads over the 2" tail to keep the necklace more secure.
Next, attach your filigree bead onto a jumpring and then thread the jumpring onto the cord with the beads. Make sure the jumpring is closed properly so it is secure.
Continue threading on 2 rose quartz beads, 1 heart bead, 4 quartz beads, 1 heart, 5 rose quartz beads.

Step 4

Finish the centre of the necklace in the same way as before, with a crimp, calotte and the chain. (See step 2)

Step 5

If you have chosen to keep your lobster clasp on the chain, your necklace is finished!
If you have cut off the original clasp to keep for another design, add your mini toggle clasp to the other ends of the chain with jumprings to finish your design.
