YOU WILL NEED:

16 Swarovski 53200 Crystal Chaton Montee 4mm SP Fuchsia (AC1340) (A)

1g No.11 Galvanised Silver Seed Beads (11TRPF558) (B)

24 3mm Swarovski 5810 Glass Pearls Crystal Cream (HH236) (C)

1g No.15 Galvanised Silver Seed Beads (15TRPF558) (D)

2 13x6mm Swarovski Faceted Drop Clear Crystal Pendant (AC1340) (E)

2 Earring Post and Earring Back to fit SS39 (F0019) (F)

2 Swarovski 1088 SS39 8mm Amethyst (AC1219) (G) 

Equipment: Needle, Thread: Fireline (or similar e.g. Wildfire), Scissors. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Throughout the tutorial please be very sure to thread the Montees onto your needle and follow the path EXACTLY as shown.

Step 1

On approximately 100cm (39 inches)Pick up 1(A), 1(B), 1(A), 1(B).

Step 2

Pass your needle back though the first 1(A), leave a 26cm(10 inch) tail.

Step 3

Pass your needle through the next (B) and the (A).

Step 4

Pick up 1(B) and 1(A).

Step 5

Pass these two beads down your thread.  Then pick up 1(B) and come back through the SAME hole your thread is exiting and the opposite hole on the (A).

Step 6

Pick up 1(B) and pass your needle through the two holes of  the adjacent (A) as shown.

Step 7

Pass your needle through the next (B) and the (A).

Step 8

Pick up 1(A),1(B),1(A) and pass your needle back through the (A) your thread is exiting as shown.

Step 9

 Pass through the next (B) and then the (A).

Step 10

Pick up 1(B),1(A),1(B) and go back through the (A) your thread is exiting.

Step 11

Pass your needle through the next (B) and the next (A).

Step 12

Pick up 1(B) and pass your needle back through the (A) through the same hole as your thread is exiting and the next hole.

Step 13

Repeat Steps 8 to 12 inclusive once more and then Steps 8 and 9 inclusive once more.  Then pick up 1(B) and pass your needle through the very first (A) of your work as shown.

Step 14

Pick up 1(B) and come back through the same hole on the (A) as your thread is exiting and the opposite hole of this (A).

Step 15

Then pick up 1(B) and pass through the adjacent (A) as shown.  Then pass your needle through the 1(B),1(A),1(B) shows by the red arrow.  Remove your needle from this thread end.

Step 16

Thread your needle onto the tail end you left in the beginning and work around the thread path shown by the red arrow.  Pull these beads snuggly together.

Step 17

Keep working around this thread path and tie two or three half hitch knots.  End this thread and return your needle to your working thread.

Step 18

Pick up 1(B),1(C),1(B) and pass your needle through the corner 1(B),1(A),1(B) of your work.  Repeat twice more.

Step 19

Pick up 1(B),1(C),1(B) pass your needle through the corner 1(B),1(A),1(B) AND the very first 1(B),1(C) which you added in Step 18.

Step 20

Pick up 1(D),1(C),1(D) and pass your needle through the single (B),

Step 21

Pick up 1(D),1(C),1(D) and pass your needle through the next (C) on the previous row.

Step 22

Repeat Steps 20 and 21 inclusive three times more then pass your needle through the two (B) beads as shown.

Step 23

Pick up 2(B) and pass through the two (B) as shown.

Step 24

Then pass through the adjacent (C) and the next two (B) as shown.

Step 25

Repeat Steps 23 and 24 inclusive three more times.

Step 26

Pass your needle through the adjacent (C),(D),(C) as shown.

Step 27

Pick up 1(D),1(B),1(D),1(C),4(D),1(E),4(D) and come back through the (C) you just picked up in the direction shown.

Step 28

Pick up 1(D),1(B),1(D) and pass your needle through all the ‘edge’ beads to exit the (C) bead as shown in the next step.

Step 29

Exit the (C) bead as shown.

Step 30

Pick up 1(D),1(B),1(D),1C), 9(D), pass your needle through the loop of the earring post as shown and back through the (C) bead from the direct shown. (NOTE: be careful that you have the back of the beadwork and the stud as displayed in the photograph.).

Step 31

Pick up 1(D),1(B),1(D) and pass your needle through the edge beads of your work as shown.  For strength and security follow the thread path around all the edge beads again including both the crystal drop and the stud loop.  Then using two or three half hitch knots as you work around the edge end this thread.

Step 32

Carefully place your SS39 crystal into the setting and gently push down the four ‘prongs’ on the stud to hold the crystal in place.  Work around the prongs once more to make sure they are nice and tight.
