Raspberry Tassel Earrings

Step 1

To begin, glue two of your crystals into your chaton connector charms and place these to one side to dry.

Step 1

Step 2

Take your hot pink thread and unravel it. Cut 2 x 1 metre long lengths. Take your lilac thread and cut 1 x 1 metre length.

Take a fork and wrap one of your threads around it leaving a short length tail on each end.

Step 1

Step 3

Wrap one tail tightly around the cord in the topmost gap on your fork. Wrap it 3 or 4 times. Wrap your other end of thread in the same way, just a couple of times so you can knot them together easily. Make sure this knotted section is as tight and as small as you can make it.

Step 1

Step 4

Make 2 more tassels in this way (one more hot pink and one in lilac) then trim through the loops at the base of each tassel.

Only trim your tassel when you are confident the knotted/wrapped section is as tight as it can be. You can use some fine sewing thread to reinforce this if you want, without adding much bulk to the top of the tassel.

Fit the tassels into your semi-circle clamp and spend time positioning them before pressing the clamp closed.

Step 1

Step 5

You can add a little glue into the clamp if you want to secure them further. Once you are happy your tassels are secure in the clamp, trim them into a neater semi circle as shown in the image.

Step 1

Step 6

Take a jumpring and attach it to the top of your clamp. Take another jumpring and attach this to the previous ring, and thread it through one side of your crystal connector which you glued earlier.

Finally add one more jumpring to the other side of the crystal connector and attach it to your earring base.
