What you will need:
1x Silver Slider Square [F840]
2x Magnetic 6mm Barrel [F778]
1x Silver Slider Buckle [F863]
1x Rattail Blue Tones [TC317]
1x Black NYMO Thread [TC297]
1x Needle [NB202]
1x Kumihimo Board [W256]
2x Kumihimo Bobbins [W257]
1x Fevi Kwik Glue [W311]
Step 1. Create a simple 8 warp kumihimo braid using the blue tones rattail pack. If you haven't made a kumihimo braid before why not watch our kumihimo braiding instruction video. Your braid will need to be approx. 40cm long. 'Whip' (or fasten off) the ends using nymo. Fasten again to create a section approx. 17.5cm long and cut off this piece. Repeat this until you have two pieces of Kumihimo braiding approx. 17.5cm long.
Step 2. Thread your two pieces of your Kumihimo Braided Cord through the buckle slider. Slide on your metal slider (F863), then thread the Kumihimo Braided Cord back through the buckle slider. The metal slider should act as a stopper to prevent the Kumihimo Braided Cord from coming away from the slider.
Step 3. Once you are happy with the size of the bracelet glue the magnetic clasps onto the ends of the Kumihimo Braided Cord.
Hint: When applying glue to your clasp ensure that the magnets are separated otherwise the glue may seep through and glue the clasp shut.
Step 4. When gluing the magnetic clasps you will also need to ensure that the both clasps are not repelling. Both clasps need to sit side by side. Leave to dry for a few moments.
