Princess Sparkle Fimo

Information about this project

Difficulty: Beginner

Follow the tutorial on how to make Princess Sparkle using fimo clay, this half term with your little ones. Use the left over pearls to make a bracelet for your little princess too.

Step 1

Create the bottom of dress shape in light pink and slightly pinch at the ends to create a flowing fabric look. Create a bust for the dress and blend into the larger piece at the bottom.

Step 2

Create a head from Flesh Fimo and push onto the dress.

Step 3

Make the princess’ hair by building up layers including a fringe and attach curled pieces to the back. Pull the bottom of her hair up slightly to look as though it is blowing in the wind. Add texture using a toothpick.

Step 4

Add face detail using small amounts of Fimo. A pair of tweezers and a clean toothpick for each colour will be helpful.

Step 5

Use Swarovski mixed crystals to create a pretty sparkly pattern on the dress. Finally, add arms to the bust and rest them against the top of her lower dress. Cook Fimo as stated on packet (110C for 30 minutes).

Step 6

Once cooled, use Hypo Cement to affix cupchain and create a pearl necklace using 4mm rounds.
