Information about project:

Pearl Wrap

Difficulty: Intermediate

* Lengths may vary depending on the size of your wrist (This is for a 5 ½ inch wrist). The items that are listed are for a double wrap bracelet. For a single or triple wrapped bracelet, divide the measurements by 2 and multiply accordingly.

Step 1

Cut a 90cm length of leather and fold the cord in half to form a loop. The loop should be big enough to fit around the Shamballa Fashion Bead, which will act as the clasp and tie.

Step 2

Cut a length of approx. 3 metres of the nymo cord . Condition the thread with thread conditioner. This will prevent the thread from fraying. Thread your cord onto a needle and pull through so that the needle is in the centre of the cord (so you have a double thread).

Step 3

Tie the cord onto the leather. Wrap around the leather, thread through the bead and loop over the other piece of leather and then back up through the bead (See diagram below). Continue with this technique until you are happy with the length. You will need to continually check that it fits around your wrist.

Step 4

When you have achieved your required length, wrap the nymo cord around the leather strands and knot.  Finally, tie a knot with the leather ends.

Step 5

Thread the Shamballa Fashion bead  through the 1 leather strand and tie a knot. Trim with scissors and your wrap bracelet is finished!!
