Lady in Red Shoe Bracelet

Thread your needle on your Fireline thread (you'll need will approx 3 arm lengths of thread). To stop your beads falling off when working on the project secure one end with a *stop bead or piece of Scotch magic tape leaving a tail of approx 60cm long.
* A stop bead is simply a different coloured bead not part of your design which stops your beads falling off. To create a stop bead simply thread through the bead and then thread through the bottom to the top of the bead again..it should feel secure.
Begin threading your beads, start with two of the 8mm beads which are your centrepiece bead. Then pick up five seed beads, followed by one 4mm bead, then another five seed beads. Thread upwards through the first two 8mm beads and pull tight, let these beads fall to the right, forming a side loop.
Then to repeat for the left hand side, pick up five seed beads, followed by one 4mm bead, then another five seed beads. Thread up through the first two 8mm beads and pull tight, let these beads fall to the left, forming a side loop. You now have the basic pattern.
Thread one 8mm bead, then pick up five seed beads, followed by one 4mm bead, then another five seed beads. Thread upwards through the last two 8mm beads and pull tight, let these beads fall to the right, forming a side loop. Repeat for the other side.
Repeat step 4 until you reach your desired length (in this design I've used twelve 8mm beads). We now need to make loops at either end to attach your ribbon or cord to.
Thread on 12 seed beads and then thread these back down through the last two 8mm beads and pull tight. To reinforce, thread through the seed beads and 4mm beads to the right then repeat for the left, your thread should then be back to the top of your 8mm bead.
Now take the thread through the entire length of the design going through all your 8mm beads until you get back to the bottom where you started (you'll need to do it in several steps going through a few beads at a time). Once you get to the bottom we need to do a loop at this end.
Repeat step 6 to create your loop. Your thread should now be back at the top of the 8mm bead.
Take the stop bead or magic tape off the tail you had the beginning and we'll now use this thread to also reinforce the design. Do this by threading through the seed beads and 4mm bead to the right then repeat for the left, your thread should then be back to the top of the 8mm bead to meet the other piece of thread. Tie the two pieces of thread together by knotting twice, pull firmly. You can also dab the knot with some glue if desired (I recommend E6000) and then trim the excess thread.
Cut two lengths of ribbon to size (enough to tie around your ankle/shoe) and then thread through each end loop.
Repeat steps 1-10 to make your other piece.
Tie around your chosen boots or tie around your ankles and pop on your favourite high heels and you're ready to sparkle with your Lady in Red Flat Spiral shoe bracelets.
