Step 1

Macrame Braided Bracelet -

Macrame Braided Bracelet -

For this bracelet you will need to understand the basic technique of creating a Shamballa fashion bracelet using square knots (macrame). You can find a diagram and instructions here.

Cut 2 x 40cm pieces of cord (TC496). Loop one of the cords through the hole of the glass charm connector (CR788). Fold in half and make it level. Start your macrame knoting from the loop end. Make two complete knots then thread a seed bead onto each piece of cord and complete the knot as normal. Add seed beads to every other knot until the desired length is reached (half way around your wrist) not forgetting space for the sliding knot. Then secure the knot by glueing the ends.

Repeat steps 1-3 on the other side (make sure you do the same amount of knots so it is even). Now cut a new piece of cord approx. 30cm long and tie over BOTH sets of centre threads. Tie another few square knots (about 10 complete V knots), then secure the cord by glueing the ends as before.

Attach your cord to one side of the glass connector and begin to braid. Repeat on the other side of the connector charm. Once both sides have been braided to the required length, you can create your sliding knot.

Create a sliding knot as seen in the instructions listed above and secure with a dab of glue (Fevi Kwik or Gem Tac).

Attach a small gold spacer bead onto each strand followed by a knot to complete (the strands used to pull the sliding knot tight).

Step 2

Chain Bracelet -

Cut 4 pieces of chain approximately 8cms long (adjust if necessary). Attach two pieces with a jumpring to both sides of the glass connector charm. Attach jumprings to the other sides (one per matching pair) and attach to a lobster clasp.

Step 3

Faceted Bead Bracelet -

Cut approximately 30cms of elastic. Thread on approximately 22 beads in a colour pattern of your choice. Attach gold necklace ends flush to the beads and trim the elastic if necessary. Attach a glass connector to each of the necklace ends using pliers to open and close the loops. Attach the glass connectors together in the middle using a small jumpring.
