Information about this project

Together with Paula Ziemska we present you a tutorial with which we will make a lovely SuperDuoTM bracelet. You love SuperDuoTM beads because they provide lots of possibilities and jewellery made of them is really unique. Beaded flowers are the reflection of what is in every handicraftswoman’s heart. So let’s do it!

Supplies used in this project:

Step 1

Prepare a long piece of thread (about 2 metres). String 6 SuperDuo beads – they will make the 1st flower.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 2

Pass through the beads once again to close them in a circle and tie a knot.

Pass the needle through the top hole of one of the SD.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 3

String 5 beads – two in a different colour, 1 in the colour of the 1st flower, and again two of a different colour (as shown in the picture).

Step 1

Step 4

Pass through the beads once again (I recommend to do it twice – the bracelet will be secured well) and pass the needle towards the bead in the colour of the 1st flower,

Step 1

Step 5

Pass through the top hole and string 5 beads.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 6

Repeat that sequence until you have reached the desired length. 10 flowers is enough for a 15 cm wrist. If you need a longer bracelet, make more flowers.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 7

The 1st row is finished – this is the central part of our work.

Step 1

Step 8

The 2nd row. We will use only one colour of beads in this row – the one which was used to make gaps between the flowers. Pass the needle through the top hole of the bead right behind the top bead.

Step 1

Step 9

String 2 gold SD beads and pass the needle through the next bead.

Step 1

Step 10

Pass the needle through the 1st gold bead.

Step 1

Step 11

String 2 SD beads.

Step 1

Step 12

Continue the same way until you have completed the whole row. This is how the end of the 2nd row should look like.

Step 1

Step 13

Now we need to pass to the opposite side of our work and repeat the previous steps. The thread should come out of the top hole of the 1st flower.

Step 1

Step 14

Pass the needle down and make not a full circuit so that the thread comes of the parallel bead on the opposite side of your work (as shown in the picture).

Step 1

Step 15

Pass through the top hole and continue according to the pattern: 2SD – connection – 2SD – connection. Repeat until you have finished the whole row.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 16

This is how the end of the 3rd row should look like. The thread comes out of the 1st flower and it’s good time to attach the clasp.

Step 1

Step 17

String 7 8/0 TOHO beads.

Step 1

Step 18

Pass the needle through the bead, as shown in the picture.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 19

Step up to the row above – pass through the top hole of the 1st gold bead.

Step 1

Step 20

We begin the 4th row of the bracelet. The pattern stays exactly the same – we only change the colour.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 21

As you have completed the 4th row, it’s time to attach the 2nd part of the clasp. The thread comes out of the top hole of the gold bead, so pass the needle so that the thread comes out of the top hole of the bead in the flower.

Step 1

Step 22

String 3 8/0 TOHO beads, a lobster clasp and 3 8/0 TOHO. Pass the needle through the parallel bead of the flower.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 23

Pass the needle through the top hole of the gold bead to start the 5th row.

Step 1

Step 24

This is how the bracelet should look like when you finish the 5th row. We might say it’s finished, but it’s not. It’s not enough to pass the needle through the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th row only once, so we need to tighten our bracelet.

Step 1

Step 25

Pass through the bottom hole of the gold bead and tighten this row passing through the beads.

Step 1

Step 26

Now the clasp. Pass the needle through TOHO beads and the lobster clasp, and then through the whole  next row.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 27

We have tightened the 2nd and the 3rd rows, so it’s time to tighten the 4th and the 5th ones. Pass the needle through the clasp and the top hole of the gold bead. Start to tighten the 4th and the 5th rows.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 28

As you have passed through the 4th row, pass the needle through the clasp with the lobster and then tighten the 5th row.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 29

You have tightened the bracelet!

Step 1

Step 30

Hide, secure and trim the thread.

Step 1

Step 31

Take the pliers and attach the split ring.

Step 1

Step 32

And it’s finished! Now you know how to make a SuperDuo bracelet.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 33

Do you know how to make A SuperDuoTM bracelet? Of course you do! We hope you will make not only one version of the bracelet. You may create very glittery bracelets, soft or colourful ones. It’s all up to you. We will be waiting for your works on our Facebook group.
