Paula will show you how to make GEMDUO™ earrings which are really simple and pleasant.  We guarantee that you will feel special wearing these earrings! So get ready for great moments with beads.

This design is a great opportunity for people who are just thinking about their jewellery making adventure or are at the first stages of learning.

Now let's begin!

Supplies
Craft Wire with a diameter of 0.4 or 0.5mm
Jump ring in a 4mm and 8mm
Earring Hooks
TOHO™ two colours in size 11/0 and one colour in a size 8/0
GEMDUO™ 8x5mm
GINKO™ 7.5x7.5mm

Step 1

We start by cutting about 40 cm of wire.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 2

We take a larger link and make a loop on it, leaving about 5cm of wire on one side.

Step 1

Step 3

We prepare TOHO 11/0 beads.

Step 1

Step 4

Then we thread TOHO 11/0 beads on a wire - a total of 14 beads.

Step 1

Step 5

Now it's time for GemDuo.

Step 1

Step 6

We thread a total of 8, and between each we thread 2 TOHO 11/0.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 7

When we add 8 GemDuo beads, we thread another 14 TOHO 11/0 as in the beginning.

Step 1

Step 8

Your Gemduo earrings are almost ready. Now we weave the wire through the link and start the 2nd row.

Step 1

Step 9

We thread 14 TOHO beads 11/0.

Step 1

Step 10

We pass the wire through the GemDuo bead. We take TOHO 11/0 -> 8/0 -> 11/0 and go through GemDuo again.

Step 1

Step 11

We double the TOHO combination two more times.

Step 1

Step 12

Now, in the middle of our earring, we take TOHO 11/0 -> GINKO beads and a TOHO 11/0. Then go through the Gemduo.

Step 1

Step 13

We repeat 3 TOHO sequences 11/0 -> 8/0 -> 11/0.

Step 1

Step 14

Finally, we thread 14 TOHO 11/0 beads (as in the beginning).

Step 1

Step 15

Now we pass the wire through the link. We take a shorter wire and loop it around the 4 wires.  Cut any excess wire.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 16

How to connect the earring to the stud.

Now we take the smaller link, pliers and our earwire and connect them together.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 17

All we have to do is make a second earring by repeating the steps above.
