HOW TO MAKE A PETITE SPARKLY BRACELET - A JEWELLERY MAKING TUTORIAL

Information about this project

Designed by: Joanne

Difficulty: Beginner

Rating:

This is the little sister of the Sparkly Stretch Bracelet designed by Joanne Lockwood. Joanne will show you how to create this surprisingly easy to make bracelet, with equally beautiful end results as its larger version.

It seems I am not the only fan of the gorgeous soft neutrals of these sparkling Swarovski Fancy Stones  <3 Due to several requests, I have made a smaller version which is a little easier on the wallet and more delicate, making it perfect for everyday wear. Enjoy! Joannexx

Supplies used for this project:

13x18mm Swarovski Fancy Stones
13x18mm Setting
Findings Kit

Step 1

Place all the Swarovski crystals into their settings, using flat nose pliers.

Cut approximately 2 x 15cm of wire and 4 x  5cm of chain from the findings kit.

Step 2

Thread onto the wire 1 crimp bead and the last link of one of the chains. Fold the wire over and pass it back through the crimp. Ensuring your wires are side by side, flatten the crimp with pliers. Hide the tail of wire  by threading it back through the beads and spacers just added. trim off any excess.

Step 3

Thread on 1 spacer bead, 1 setting, 1 spacer bead, 1 setting, 1 spacer bead, 1 setting and 1 spacer bead. Thread on a crimp bead and the last link in a 2nd piece of chain. Fold the wire over and pass it back through the crimp. Ensuring your wires are side by side, flatten crimp with pliers. Hide the tail of wire  by threading it back through the beads and spacers just added. trim off any excess.

Step 4

Repeat  steps 2 and 3 for the other side of the spacers.

Step 5

Using a jump ring, link together 2 ends of the chain and add a lobster clasp.

Step 6

Again, using a jump ring, link together 2 ends of the chain. This time, continue to add jump rings to form an extension chain. Add the charm to the final link of the chain to finish.

I made mine just long enough for the bracelet to fit closely to the wrist like a watch. Personalise yours by adjusting the length of the extension chain to your personal preference at this stage.
