Magdalena has created another wonderful tutorial for you using the lovely faceted round Firepolish ™ beads along with TOHO ™ seed beads.  With easy to follow step by step instructions, you will have a beautiful pair of earrings by the end of it. Magdalena has created them in a variety of colours, so gather your favourite coloured beads and start beading.

Materials needed:

Firepolish ™ beads in two sizes - 3 and 4 mm - you will need a package of 4mm and 6 pieces of 3mm.
TOHO ™  Beads in sizes 15/0 and  8/0
Jewellery thread - Miyuki
Earwires - silver
Jump rings - it will need to be quite thin e.g. 0.8mm
Scissors

Our tutorials are for inspiration and learning purposes. They include links to the relevant categories for you to choose your own colour combinations and we positively encourage you to experiment with different shapes, sizes, finishes, composition and texture. Why not choose your own beads and colours to achieve something in your own style? Let your imagination run wild and make your dream piece of jewellery.

Please note that the colours for the products illustrated in the image above may not match the 'Products List'.

Step 1

Cut an arm span of thread and thread on 15 x 4mm FirePolish beads.

Step 1

Step 2

Leaving the tail 15cm long, go through all the beads to form a circle (double-stitched with thread). Then make a knot and pass the thread through a few more beads.

Step 1

Step 3

Thread the TOHO size 8/0 bead on and pass through five FP beads. Repeat twice more, as shown in the image.

Step 1

Step 4

After adding TOHO beads, the circle should now form a triangle

Step 1

Step 5

Starting from 3 beads of any side of the triangle, thread TOHO size 15/0, FirePolish 3mm, TOHO size 15/0, and then wrap the thread around the thread that is between beads 2 and 3 on the adjacent side of the triangle. Squeeze tightly, here the work will wander off a bit - this is how it should be.

Step 1

Step 6

Go back through TOHO size 15/0, 3mm FirePolish, TOHO size 15/0 and thread through the place of connecting 2-3 FirePolish beads again.

Step 1

Step 7

Go through TOHO, FirePolish, TOHO again, then thread through stitch the 3 beads shown in the image.

Step 1

Step 8

Repeat the above steps on the other two sides of the earring.

Step 1

Step 9

Go through TOHO size 15/0, thread 3 x TOHO size 15/0 beads bypassing 3mm FirePolish and go through TOHO size 15/0 and third FirePolish.

Step 1

Step 10

Repeat step 9 on the other two sides.

Step 1

Step 11

Go through the fourth 4mm FirePolish bead, then thread 5 to 7 TOHO 15/0 beads (it depends on how it will be arranged, the point is that there is no visible thread). Go through TOHO size 8/0 and again add 5 to 7 TOHO 15/0 beads. Go through FirePolish 4mm (here you can make it easier by bending the work almost in half). Thread 3 - 4 TOHO 15/0 beads and, leaving one FP bead, go through the next one.

Step 1

Step 12

Repeat step 11 around the earring.

Step 1

Step 13

Connect the earring to the ear wire using a jump ring.

Step 1

Step 14

Now you have a beautiful pair of earrings. Feel free to share your works of art on our Facebook group! We would love to see them. Happy beading :)
