Crochet hearts can be used in many ways. Giving such a heart can always and certainly bring joy to every recipient. Is there anything more valuable than a handmade gift? Well not really! Paula Ziemska will show you how to make a crochet heart. You will be delighted! Ready? Now we'll begin!

Materials;

To start with, make a magic ring and chain 3 (ch3) this chain does not count as a stitch.

Row 1. Make 12 trebles (tc) into the magic ring and tighten it.

Slip stitch (slst) inbetween the top of the ch3 and the first treble stitch

Row 2 - without turning your work, double crochet (dc) and treble crochet (tr) into the first stitch of the row.

Into the 2nd stitch, crochet 3 double trebles (dtr)

Into the 3rd stitch, crochet another 3 double trebles (dtr)

Into the 4th stitch, crochet 3 trebles (tr)

Into the 5th stitch, crochet 3 trebles (tr)

Into the 6th stitch, crochet 2 trebles (tr) and 1 double treble (dtr)

Now we repeat the stitches in reverse to complete the heart.

Into the 7th stitch, crochet 1 double treble (dtr) and 2 trebles (tr)

Into the 8th stitch, 3 trebles (tr)

Into the 9th stitch, 3 trebles (tr)

Into the 10th stitch, 3 double trebles (dtr)

Into the 11th stitch, 3 double trebles (dtr)

Into the 12th stitch, treble crochet (tr) then double crochet (dc)

Slip stitch into the top of the ch3 we made in the first row.

Slip stitch into each of the next stitches until you've gone all the way around. Slip stitch into the first double crochet you made, cut the thread and hide it within the stitches to complete the heart.
