Supplies

Chain – mesh chain in silver 4.2mm

Semi-Precious beads – 6mm chrysocolla round

Swarovski spike beads – two-hole spike beads in crystal silver night and crystal light chrome

Swarovski pendant  crystal dice fancy stone 19mm in saharaCalvsi F colour

Pendant Setting - Tilt dice silver setting 27mm

TOHO Treasure Seed Beads – size 11/0 in teal 

Jump rings 7mm silver rings

Clasp – magnetic clasp 14x8x8mm in silver with a 4mm hole 

Cord ends  surgical steel caps 5x10mm with a 4.5mm hole 

Thread – One G in white

Needles

Step 1

Cut an arm span of thread, place a needle onto both ends. Thread on 5x Chrysocolla beads and move to the centre of the thread, thread on 1x chrysocolla onto both strands in the opposite direction.

Thread on a seed bead onto both strands, plus 2x chrysocolla beads and 1x seed bead.

Now thread your right-hand thread through the first hole in the spike bead. Thread on a seed bead and go through the second hole in the spike bead. With the left-hand thread, thread through the spike bead, thread on 1x seed bead and go through the second hole in the spike bead.

Thread on a seed bead onto both strands, 2x chrysocolla beads and 1x seed bead. Repeat step 3 two more times to add the spike bead.

Your necklace should look like this – see image below.

Add 1x seed bead, 1x chrysocolla and 1x seed bead to the right-hand thread. Add 1x seed bead, 3x chrysocolla beads to the left-hand thread. Thread on 1x chrysocolla bead to both strands in the opposite direct.

Thread on 1x seed bead onto both strands. Your necklace should now have formed a point, this is where you will attach your pendant onto. Add 2x chrysocolla beads onto both strands and start adding your spike beads as you did in step 3.

As you get to the end of your beaded part of the necklace, it should look like this – see image. Add a chrysocolla bead onto both strands in the opposite direction and go back through your design. You can now tie and secure the threads in place. Go back through part of your design and tie knots in place, cut any excess thread.

To create the chain part of your necklace cut 2x 20cm of mesh chain. Attach to the cord ends using glue. Now attach your clasp to the opposite end of the chain using glue.

To attach your chain to the beaded part of your necklace. Add a jump ring to either side of the end bead. Link the jump rings and end cap loop using another jump ring. Repeat for the other side.

To attach the pendant. Glue the crystal into the setting. Allow to dry. Find the point in your necklace and place a jump ring either side of the bead. Link the two jump rings together with another jump ring. Attach the pendant onto the jump ring bail using a jump ring as seen in the picture below.
