Create your own shimmering beaded earrings using Half Tila beads by Miyuki. This simple project is great for beginner seed beaders!

Materials:

Half Tila Beads - 2 Colours
Size 11 Seed Beads
Eye pins - Can be found in our Findings Kits
Ear Wires - Can be found in our Findings Kits
Beading Thread
Scissors
Pliers

Thread a stopper bead and 8 Half Tila beads in alternating colours

Go through the second hole of the last Half Tila added

Pick up a gold tila bead and go through the hole in the next silver Tila. Finish this row by adding gold Tila beads to all the gaps, then go through second hole in your last gold bead added.

Pick up a silver Tila bead and go through the hole in the next gold Tila bead. along Finish this row by adding silver beads to the gaps and go through second hole in you last silver bead added.

Repeat step 3, step 4 and step 3 again

Pass through the first gold bead in your 1st row then start threading through all the beads according to the arrows in the illustration, to 'zip up'.

 When you came exit the last gold Tila bead, remove the stopper bead and tie a knot.

Add 5x4mm seamless rounds from your findings kit to a single eye pin. Insert through the inside of the hexagonal prism.

Use round nose pliers to bend the pin, turn a loop at the tail end and trim the wire.

Re-thread your needle and pick up 3 size 11 seed beads. Pass down through the first hole of the next Half Tila along. Continue until you have inserted a bridge between all half Tila beads.

Step up to the second bead in the next set of 3 along. Pass through the second seed bead in the next set of 3. Repeat twice more and pull snug. Tie off the thread.

Repeat steps 10 and 11 for the other end of the earring.

Using flat nose pliers, open the loop on the ear wire and connect to the earring just made.

Close the look on the ear wire and repeat all steps to make the second earring.
