Information about this project

Difficulty: Intermediate

Rating:

These beautiful Harbour Knot necklaces are an unusual and striking addition to your jewellery box. Statement jewellery is perfect for teaming with Spring clothing to add extra vibrance to your wardrobe. Mixing gorgeous Semi-Precious beads with Chunky Woven Cord creates something truly special.

Please read the steps to see the items used in each individual project, and remove from/edit your basket as necessary. You will need 2 x F0281 and 3 x CR534 for each of these designs. Otherwise, feel free to mix and match your own cord colours and crystals to create even more design possibilities.

Step 1

Grey Harbour Knot Necklace -

1. Take your double cord end and Grey Chunky Woven Cord (TC776). Insert into one side of the cord end (F0367)and glue in. Slide on 3 charm carriers with loop (F0281) and slide to the top. Fold your cord 3 times to create the "knot" shape and glue in the other side of the cord end. Move the sliders into position at the base of each loop. Add a small stitch to the back of each loop to keep in place.
2. Use a small jumpring to affix the Crystal Charm Holders (CR534) onto each charm carrier's loop. Use Fevi Kwik carefully to glue in 1 x Smoked Topaz crystal (AC1258) into the centre holder and 2 x Light Silk (AC1255) crystals into the others.
3. Thread on the entire strand of EX59 to Beadalon wire. Add 6 x large silver rounds from the Silver Findings Kit (ST184). Trim the wire, leaving enough to crimp on a Lobster clasp and large jumpring (both from Findings Kit) to each end. Attach the pendant using another large jumpring.

Step 2

Purple Harbour Knot Necklace -

1. Take your double cord end and Purple Chunky Woven Cord (TC785). Insert into one side of the cord end (F0367) and glue in.
Use Fevi Kwik carefully to glue in 1 x Silver Night crystal (AC1254) into the centre holder and 2 x Purple crystals (AC1257)  into the others.
3. Thread on the entire strand of EX61 to Beadalon wire. Add 6 x large silver rounds from the Silver Findings Kit (ST184). Trim the wire, leaving enough to crimp on a Lobster clasp and large jumpring (both from Findings Kit) to each end. Attach the pendant using another large jumpring.
