Learn how you can make Helen Mirren's pretty necklace for yourself using beads and findings.
Section 1: Cut 95cm of beading wire and begin to string your beads in the following sequence: 1x 5mm seamless round (F1043), 2x 6mm firepolished Czech glass beads (BG409), 1x 3mm seamless round (F1039), 1x Swarovski grey pearl (HH48) and 1x 4mm firepolished Czech glass bead (BG408). Repeat this process until you have almost filled the entire length of beading wire. Place 1 crimp bead on both ends and then thread the ends through the opposite crimps. Then crimp the beads to hold the necklace securely in place. For extra security you could string two wires rather than just the one at the beginning.
Section 2: Empty the contents of the Czech pearl mix (BG493) and group the same beads together. Collect all of the small gold pearls and start to string them on a 78cm length of beading wire. For every 9 pearls add 1 small seamless round bead (F1039). When the entire length is full, attach one end to section 1 using a crimp bead. measure approx. 19cm along section 1 then attach the other end of section 2 using a crimp.
Section 3: Cut 95cm of beading wire and string through the 19cm of section 1, coming out where you added section 2. String the remainder of beads from the Czech pearl mix, the 3mm seamless round beads and the 4 and 6mm Czech firepolished glass beads in any sequence you wish. Thread either end through a crimp bead and crimp to secure.
