Follow Leah's step by step tutorial and learn how to make your own Flower Bar Necklace! You can make it as simple or as complicated as you want by adding more or less of the little beaded flowers to the bar. Choosing your own colours and beads is another way to make it unique. Ready? Let's Bead!

You can add all the items you need for the bracelet to your basket by clicking the box in the 'Products used' section above, or you can let your imagination run wild and choose your own materials from the links below. Please note that the colours for the products illustrated in the image above may not match the 'Products Used List':

We believe that jewellery should be as individual as you are and so our tutorials are for inspiration and learning purposes. They include links to the relevant categories for you to choose your own colour combinations and we positively encourage you to experiment with different shapes, sizes, finishes, composition and texture. Why not choose your own beads and colours to achieve something in your own style? Let your creative imagination run wild and make your dream piece of jewellery?!

Step 1

To create the beaded flower. Cut 30cm of thread and thread on 11 x seed beads.

Step 1

Step 2

Tie the two ends together in a double knot. Thread back through all the beads to reinforce them.

Step 1

Step 3

Thread on 1x 4mm bead and place in the centre of the seed beads.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 4

Thread through the opposite seed bead to secure the 4mm bead in place, thread through 2 more seed beads in the flower and tie off/cut excess thread. Create a further 2 more flowers in the same way.

Step 1

Step 5

Cut your ball chain to your desired length - I cut mine to 47cm long.  Thread on the tube and clip on the cupchain clasp to both ends.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 6

Now to attach your beaded flowers onto the chain. Thread a jump ring through the thread on the beaded flower, and attach to your chain, slide it onto the tube.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 7

Add the remaining two beaded flowers to complete your necklace.

The beaded flowers do move around on the tube (which I liked) However, if you wanted to keep them in place you can thread through the beaded flowers to attach them together.

I adapted this design slightly by adding more beaded flowers to the necklace. With any left over beads, I created this cute flower ring too. Why not give it a go and create your very own beaded flower designs. Happy Beading XxX
