Learn how to make this Filigree Butterfly Necklace using chocolate gold findings and chain, and gorgeous multi coloured dyed agate!

Step 1

Cut approx. 22" of chain. Attach a large jumpring to each end.

Step 2

Find the centre link and attach a large jumpring.
Count outwards 4 links on either side of the centre, and attach a large jumpring onto both 4th links. (See image)

Step 3

Create the centre butterfly pendant:
Make 3 bead charms using your choice of 6mm or 4mm agate beads, threading them onto their own eyepin, then trimming and looping to create an identical loop on the other side of the bead.
Create the end bead charm using a headpin, and looping above the bead.

Step 4

Create the centre butterfly pendant:
Make 3 bead charms using your choice of 6mm or 4mm agate beads, threading them onto their own eyepin, then trimming and looping to create an identical loop on the other side of the bead.
Create the end bead charm using a headpin, and looping above the bead.
Attach these beads together including your large buttefly charm, using the smallest jumprings.

Step 5

Create the two other butterfly pendants in the same way, with only 3 pearls and the smaller butterfly charms.

Step 6

Create the line of 4mm beads at the back of the necklace.
Choose 6 of your favourite agate beads, thread them onto a headpin, trim and loop and attach to one side of the chain.
Attach your lobster clasp to the other side of your necklace.
