Delicate Drop Earrings
Thread your needle with approx. 30" of thread.
Leave a 10" tail.
Pick up 26 brick red beads and thread through the first three to make a circle.
Stitch in even-count tubular peyote stitch for five rows, stepping up at the end of each row.
The first two rows will make three rows.
Keep your needle in place.
Thread the tail through your needle, move it to the centre of the peyote stitch and pierce it through the inside of the ring.
Pick one of your Swarovski crystal 10mm faceted round marbled black beads.
Pierce the needle through the opposite side of the peyote stitch in the circle.
Weave in the tail, tie half-hitch knots, and end it.
Go back to the working thread.
Move the needle down one brick red bead on the diagonal base.
Tie a half-hitch knot.
Stitch in the first dip of the red beads with one 2mm crimp bead.
Continue stitching in each dip with one 2mm crimp bead until the row is complete.
Move the needle down one red bead on the diagonal in the base.
Stitch in all the dips in the row with one size 11 frosted jet bead.
Repeat this step one more time to complete the final row.
Weave in the thread, tie half-hitch knots, and cut the thread.
Position the needle so it is exiting from the middle row of stitches; from a size 11 bead on one of the drops.
Cut the chain into two 2.5cm pieces and set one aside for when you make the second earring.
Thread through three size 15's, the piece of chain and three more size 15 beads.
Put the needle back through the size 11 bead on the base and through all the beads and chain to reinforce the design.
Weave in the thread, tie half-hitch knots, and end.
Open one jumpring.
Add the chain and the earwire onto the jumpring and close it.
Repeat these steps for the second earring!
