Create these cute Chocolate Biscuit Cupcake Earrings using Fimo, inspired by The Great British Bake Off!!
To make these cute little Chocolate Biscuit Cupcake Earrings inspired by The Great British Bake Off, firstly you will need two colours of the Fimo clay. This includes the Chocolate Staedtler Fimo (dark brown) and Sahara Staedtler Fimo (pale beige).
You will need to tear off two small pieces of the chocolate Fimo and roll into two small balls measuring approximately 2 cm each.
Using your index finger slowly angle the ends with a rolling movement creating a cupcake base shape with the dome still on top.
Then using a knife tool carve small slats into the cupcake base, once you have done this around the whole base you should end up with what looks like a cupcake case imprint.
Now to make the frosting for the top, take the sahara coloured Fimo and roll into a sausage shape. Feed the Fimo through a piping nozzle to create the desired effect.
Using a blunt tool you can easily feed the Fimo through the piping nozzle, give it some elbow grease as its not easy but you will need approximately 5 cm of the piped Fimo.
Attach one end of the piped Fimo to the chocolate Fimo base and twisting round in a spiral shape you should get a frosting look on top of your cupcake. Tap the top to remove the point which will be left after the spiral.
Now using the chocolate coloured Fimo and the sahara; mix two pieces of each together creating a slight marble pattern. Cut four square pieces out of the rolled out Fimo, make sure they are small enough as they will be the chocolate biscuit decoration on top of your cupcake earrings.
Poke 9 small dots in each with a pin or something small and sharp to make the biscuit pattern on all four of the squares.
Repeat the last two steps however this time instead of a square made from the two Fimo colours, just use the chocolate Fimo and create a circle with five holes.
Using the pin you used to make the small dots in the biscuits now make three small incisions into the top if the frosting these will be the support for you biscuit decorations. Once the three holes in each cupcake are done, delicately place the small biscuit pieces into the gaps.
Take two eye pins and cut to size using pliers and scissors. Take one and place it into the top in the centre of one of your cupcakes then repeat on the other.
Place the two cupcakes in the oven on a tray for 30 minutes at 100 degrees to harden the clay off. Once the timer buzzes take them out the oven and leave to cool for approximately half an hour or until completely cool to the touch. Then using pliers attach the cupcakes to a Earring Hook.
