Top Tip - Use Size 12 Beading Needles for this as the threading hole for the 2mm pearls is quite small.

Step 1

Cut an arm span of thread and pass through one hole of the Charon setting. Leave a 20cm tail.

Step 2

Pick up x1 pearl and pass through the other side of the Chaton setting. Pick up x1 pearl and pass through the other side of the chaton setting, giving you a pearl on either end of the chaton setting.

Step 3

Pick up x4 pearls and sit these around the setting, go back up the setting and Pass through the other side of the setting and pick up x4 pearls, again sitting these around the side of the setting and passing back through. You will now have 10 pearls around the setting.

Step 4

Pass through the previously strung x1 pearl. Pick up x1 pearl, pass through the x4 pearls on the edge, pick up x1 pearl, pass through the already strung x1 pearl, pick up x1 pearl, pass through the previously added x4 pearls, pick up x1 pearl and pass through the previously strung x1 pearl.

Step 5

For this one tie half hitch knots, pass through a bead to hide the knot and trim. Thread a needle onto your tail, thread this through a bead and then tie half hitch knots, pass through a bead to tie a knot and trim.

Step 6

Follow this to complete a beaded chaton setting. For the other two you will need to complete steps 1-4 and then follow the next steps before tying your half hitch knots.

Once your beaded pearls have formed a complete section you will see you have four sides, two with x4 pearls and x2 with x3 pearls. You will use the x3 pearl sides to add a loop and attach to the other chaton beaded setting. To create the loop, come out of the middle pearl (you should be at this point) and pick up x4 pearls, pass through the bead you came out of and continue to the next bead on the circle continue passing through the beads until you come out of the middle of the x3 pearls on the other side.

Step 7

To attach to the centre circle, pick up x1 pearl, pass down the middle bead of a side of three on the first beaded chaton, pick up another x1 pearl and then pass back through the starting bead in this section. Tie half Hitch knots, hide in the next bead along and trim. Thread a needle onto the tail, tie a half hitch knot, hide in the next bead and trim.

Step 8

Complete this for two beaded chaton so you form a connector. Use pliers to close the teeth around the chaton stones. Add a jump ring to the loops made on the sides and then add on your bracelet slider. We have used a slider chain with pre-attached jump rings.
