Bronze Beaded Kumihimo Bracelet

Why not try adding Seed Beads to your Kumihimo Braids as shown in this stunning Bracelet.

Please note that the Seed Beads are now an alternative to the original Beads used in the picture.

Step 1

Before you try this, get used to making a standard kumihimo braid. For full instructions see our lilac kumihimo bracelet.

Step 2

Using S-Lon thread instead of rattail, thread a quarter of a pack of size 8 seed beads on to each thread until you have 8 beaded threads. Tie together.

Step 3

Set up your kumihimo board as you would for a standard kumihimo braid, winding the threads into the no-tangle bobbins and leaving the beads outside the bobbin.

Step 4

Braid a few cms using just the threads, then bring one bead up each time you work a thread and position it at the top of the working thread. Repeat until your bracelet is the desired length.

Step 5

Whip the ends as with a normal kumihimo braid and glue on end caps.
