Product Details

French wire (also known as bouillon) creates a significant safeguard between clasp and thread.

This quality French wire from Beadalon comes robustly packed in a container and is a fine gauge coiled wire that acts as a safeguard to prevent clasps from wearing on or cutting through silk, Nymo and other bead cords.

Depending on the size of the jump ring or clasp, use approx 3mm to 5mm on knotted or unknotted strands. Cut 2 equal lengths so both ends match. The proper size french wire should slide easily but not loosely on the string.

For use with silk thread sizes 0-4, twice threaded Nymo B and other cord sizes up to 0.6mm (0.023") .

Sold in a pack of 1m silver plated bouillon.
