Providing us with annual Colours of the Year, trend reports and inspiring designers globally, Pantone are unarguably the voice of colour. It seems for 2016, Pantone are getting into the habit of breaking all their own rules – and I’m totally okay with it!
Recently, for the announcement of their coveted ‘Colour of the Year’, they broke the mould and for the first time ever chose two colours – Rose Quartz & Serenity. And as if this wasn’t enough to keep us inspired for the whole year – they’ve recently announced a brand new Pantone Colour and it’s pretty ba-na-nas.
Teaming up with Illumination Entertainment and Universal (Partnerships & Licensing), Pantone have worked to create Minion Yellow. Yep, you heard it right! Marking the first time a brand new colour has been developed and named after a character. Whether you love the little guys or not, there’s no denying that Minion Yellow is a wonderful hue for Spring/Summer.
