Solid/soldered rings

Solid Rings and soldered rings for jewellery making don't have a gap like jump rings. Use a solid ring when you can connect without having to open the ring, and you want a secure finish. Solid or soldered rings offer extra security when you're making jewellery with a fine thread or wire that might slip through the gap in a jump ring. You can't use a solid ring if you need the ring to open to attach it, for example if you're trying to attach a charm which also has a closed ring. However, if you have a wire or thread that you can loop around the ring and fasten, you might want to consider using a solid or soldered ring to decrease the chances of a breakage in your jewellery design.
