Hi Vicki, can you tell us when you started working for BD?

September 2010 with the other newbies! I’d just been made redundant from my previous job and was keeping my options open! Didn’t think I’d end up working with Beads.

Well, we’re happy you did end up with us! Can you tell us a bit more about what you do at work?

It would be easier to tell you what I don’t do! I keep all the BD team in check and make sure they are behaving! I have spent a lot of time sourcing lovely new beads.

What is your favourite thing about the job?

Being the Boss! I get lots of tea made for me and I get to be really bossy!

Haha, I’d think you’re scary if I didn’t know you!  Tell us then, do you make jewellery?

I try! Bracelets are my favourite as I’m only good at stringing really.

Have you got a favourite piece you’ve made?

My Sheer Bliss Bracelet as it was easy to do and contains Swarovski pearls.

Favourite beads then…?

Pearls! I like them all from Swarovski to freshwater or acrylic. I like the simplicity of them.

And what are your hobbies outside work?

I have two boys ages 15 and 10 so my main hobby is being ‘mums taxi’ I do enjoy running and my weekly Zumba class. I’m sure the girls will also tell you I’m fond  of a glass of wine or two so can say that is a hobby as well!
