Thank you to everyone that entered the St Patrick’s Mini Make Competition!! It was a great success! We had over 70 entries!!

Thank you to everyone who took part! We had great fun looking through all the fantastic pieces. If you would like to see the entries go the Beads Direct Facebook Fan page and take a look at the St Patrick’s album.

It was tough a decision, but we decided on Abi’s Hair piece! 14 year old Abi made this stunning piece! She was inspired by the shamrock and gold coins. Well done Abi! You have a £50 Bead Hamper, a pink pliers set and a Beads Direct Goodie Bag on its way to you!

As for the runner ups…

We had a lovely various selection of St Patrick inspired pieces.. one in particular made us chuckle. A pillow with a picture of Claire and I on it ……it made us chuckle, unfortunately it didn’t make runner up but we though it deserved a bonus prize!

June Wilson-Billing’s necklace definately makes a statement! It was inspired by the Pagan elements of the St Patrick legend as well as the symbols associated with St. Patricks Day. A snake has been used as a focal point since St Patrick was said to have driven away the Snakes from Ireland, but snakes were thought to be a euphemism for the Druids that were there before Christianity was introduced.

We absolutely love Mary King’s Tea Light holder (and the leprechaun)!! Well done Mary, very original.

Kathy Lake’s bracelet was one of the favourites, the Guinness cans were a nice touch!

Janet Sherrat’s hand stitched Shamrock ring would look perfect on! I know a few of the girls here would like it very much! ~~wink wink, nudge, nudge~~

and finally, Janine McAlister’s detachable Snake necklace is multi functional! You can wear it as either a necklace or brooch. The attention to detail is immense it must have involved a lot of time and effort. Its absolutely beautiful!

Thank you to everyone who took part. It was tough whittling it down only 6 pieces and the standard was incredible high- which made it so much harder for us!

You are a talented bunch!

Keep your eyes peeled for competitions like this one coming soon

Thank you Beaders

Stacy xx
